Domestic carriers offer inexpensive flights to other cities in Mexico, meaning that it is easy to travel domestically from cities like Puerto Vallarta.

Puerto Vallarta also offers good marine access. The city’s marine terminals have recently been refurbished and expanded, enabling more and larger cruise ships to enter the port.

Most recently, Puerto Vallarta became one of the beneficiaries of a new interstate highway that will connect Jalisco’s major cities (Guadalajara, Puerto Vallarta and Tequila) with Zacatecas. The new interstate will also provide direct access to all of Puerto Vallarta’s beaches, making it easy for tourists and residents alike to travel around Puerto Vallarta.
